  • Kentucky has proven its commitment to ensuring that all citizens are well educated with the far-reaching educational reforms of the 1990’s, a national model for school reform. Kentucky has risen above the national average in the percent of young adults 25 to 34 years old with a high school diploma. At the primary level: fourth and eighth grade students are ahead of the nation in reading at the basic level.

    Twenty technical schools are located within 60 miles of Corbin, and programs can be developed to meet your individual training requirements for employees. A progressive Kentucky k-12 school system and a large number of colleges and universities located within the region help develop a skilled workforce.

     

  • Eastern Kentucky University Corbin Campus

    Located within sight of the SEK Business Park is the EKU Corbin Campus. The Corbin campus is the largest of Eastern Kentucky University's extended campuses. Over 450 undergraduate and graduate classes are offered each year to help area residents realize their potential and achieve their dreams. We serve both traditional (ages 18-24) and non-traditional students. Most of our students live at home and have full or part-time jobs. Classes are offered morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends to fit your lifestyle.

    Corbin Center for Technology and Activities

    Less than three miles from the SEK Business Park is The Corbin Center for Technology & Community Activities. The center offers instructional technology leadership including technology design, integration, and training. The Center itself is an applied technology laboratory giving area educators the opportunity to experience, evaluate, and select appropriate technologies to use in their classrooms.
